  • I like your company name: "Soggy Bottom Guitars". It's like "The Soggy Bottom Boys" the band in the movie "O Brother, Where Art Thou". Loved that movie.

  • thanks tracy, nice to hear from you, hope you and yours have a great holiday season. thanks again for the wood cone resonator concept.the next level is always there for me to reach out to, thanks to folks like you, and because i have a great imagination on building unusual instruments.
  • howdy tracy--it was you--you the one--i know it had to be you that was talking with me about using wood for a cone in a resonator build. my memory aint that great since i,m getting older but things like this i seem to remember,so i used an old gourd--split it in half and used that for a cone in a resonator build. i think it has good tone and is way different from a metal cone or can. hope ya get to check out the video cause its all your fault that folks are liking the experiment haaaaaaaaaaa, take care and have a good holiday tracy.talk wit ya more later.

  • Tracy, sorry I won't be at southgate tonight. I have to be at work early in the morning.
  • Tracy that one was dead so i could use it in a different way. must put strings on such things. by the way i watched the joker vids with your guitars.great job on the builds. i like the big shark one and the box in the box one, cause they both coolness indeed.
  • yep tracy the 4 string lap steel has a piece of cherry wood that once was an old bubble or spirit level. as far as the solid body goes it has a piezo under the bridge plate for a pickup. take care man talk wit ya more later.
  • thanks tracy fer da comment man, that old barn wood is kinda cool now i gots the trueness from out under that old grey look about it that it had.i had fun working on it.solid body is fun to experience after doing so many box builds yep.its my first bolt on neck too.thanks again man.
  • Thanks for the answer to my banjo question. Its what i though, but i had seen things that people call banjos that not really banjos that made me doubt myself
