I live here in Webster, NY and am looking for an alternative guitar player to join in a duo project. I thought I would reach out to some of my fellow local CBN members to see if you, or someone you know, has any interest in a project like this..
If you are at all interested, there is a much better explanation of this project online atwww.sweettmusic.webs.com
Thank you Hip Bone for your kind comment. Oddly enough, I have a large #10 tomato can that I place down when I busk on the NYC subway platforms, but just now I finished working on a smaller peach can to attach to my guitar headstock. I am using a spring clamp to attach it to the guitar, and some bailing wire (19 gauge, gonna make a Diddley Bow soon too) to attach the can to the clamp. I printed out a card that reads, TIPS. Just got to mount it to the can using some heavy duty clear tape. Weird you should mention this right now. See ya soon, Keni Lee
I am sure it will be well annouced at the Festival. I printed out the lesson, so everyone will have a copy. Considering we will be working on Playing the Blues, it might turn into a jam session too! See ya soon, Keni Lee
Thank you Hip Bone. Yes, it definitely make sense to me. I appreciate your personally sharing. I guess "performance" art by it's nature has to be geared toward other's appreciation. Especially magic (fool the audience). What you choose to present it up to you. I like everyone else ping - pong. A kind of hate - love relationship with my music. This is normal and healthy. You don't want to suppress emotions or get imprisoned by them. I think goals are important to keep us focused. When you lose sight of what is your ambition, it gets rather difficult to stay the course. I like what you said. I can relate. Art is definitely all about the "Big Picture". Like Life. Nothing is permanent. Constantly changing. How do you respond? Enjoy.

Put out a call. where should we meet?
Sounds like a plan. Think a gathering would be fun. I do more building than playing but am always looking for a reason to jam.
Dewey ave is a great place for boxes. I will have a tent at the Maplewood Rose Fest. Hope to see you there.
Steve
