  Thanks Fergus, the lead was just using the mag pickup but pushed through my Zoom 501 which was set up for heavy distortion.

  hey Fergus i didn't tell no one about my book build wit da strings on it---maybe you and ted and me all thought of it around the same time yep.i just didn't start mine physically---- but its in my head where many other ideas are.

  Hey man, yep, it should be fine - just make sure you leave some of the white bit!! Its basically the crystals under the ceramic part that do the business, so if you cut say 2/3s off, it should be grand.

  Hi Fergus,
  I added a couple of links to Penny Nelson's question on piezo v magnetic so she could see the difference in sound - one of the best demos I found was of your video on the paint box bass. As it is such a good video of the differences in tone and sound quality have added it there hope you don't mind. Also how is the travel CBG coming along and do the tuners work in the modified position?
