Hey Dan, Cool builds! I like the 2 stringer! - where did you get the tuners you used on it? I had some just like them from an old guitar of mine, but haven't been able to find any like 'em... Thanks!

Thank you Dan for your comment. Yes, it is interesting how differently the guitar's fingerboard functions in the key of G: GDg / 151 tuning and the Open D: ADf# / 513 tuning. You can also try tuning the f# down to f for Open D minor tuning (ADf). Very dark and foreboding like a Mississippi Crossroads at midnight. Enjoy.

Dan, that is the way it goes sometimes with all of us, not just you. I thought I was finished with my 2nd build, then I noticed the neck was bending upward by the string tension. I have to attach a heel to the bottom of the neck, and attach it to the box. Just live and learn.

Welcome aboard, Dan! You will find lots of helpful folks and information here on all things CBG (CBU, CBB, etc.) Feel free to poke around, ask questions, and post your stuff (photos, recordings, videos, etc.).

Up in the Free Resources menu at the top, you will see a number of plans for building and playing cigar box guitars/ukuleles/banjos/dulcimers/violins. I encourage you to download any of the plans, take a look at them, and ask questions from there. Also our site is VERY searchable. I bet you your questions have already been asked, so take a few moments and look around.

Join our Chat sometime (see the bar at the bottom of your browser page). Keep in mind that tho the chat window says there are X number of people online, not all may have the chat window up.
