I've been building for a while now and like most of us, my instruments are built with a straight piece of 1.5" wide wood. I've come to really like playing with a straight fingerboard with no taper. Now I'm starting to wonder why all mass produced…

"Thanks for taking the time to look and post favourable comments on some of my builds Rob, muchly appreciated, somewhere amongst all those builds, there are 4 Uke's and 2 Banjoleles :-)
Thanks Rob!
Hi Rob! Thanks for the compliment. I'm a ukulele man and just testing the CBG waters. As for the dye, I spent about thirty bucks on Evil Bay. Great stuff, but don't go buying some. I still have lots remaining, so you can borrow some of mine. Cheers, Bookie
Thank you, Rob. You, too. I mostly like making them. When I play it's usually a little baritone that's got a Spruce top, Rock Maple sides and back, a Maple neck and Sapele fretboard. The Rock Maple was a bitch to bend (I do it by hand over a heated cast iron pipe), but it has a really bright tone. I'm curing an all-Koa instrument now. Very excited about that one. Take care! Larry
Thanks Rob
Thanks Rob, likewise you build some very high end 4-stringers!
I hope you meant to say nice looking. : )
If so, thanks Rob! I dig your stuff too, your Risa uke is particularly awesome.
