How did you learn about Cigar Box Nation?
in the early days of internet
How many instruments have you built so far?
More then a Hundred and seven
What do you find most interesting about cigar box guitars? (If you do not enter at least one meaningful sentence, your membership may be rejected as a spam/bot fake account).
They are relative easy to build (some) you can recycle loads of goods and meet and listen (dont know if that still works) whit like minded Builders and Players!
a OLD Munchen Beer crate for a body, a Japanese fake strat(Diamond)neck for a neck, a Texas Licence plate for a rezzonator, a beer flipper for a stringholder, just to name a fjew! Scrapp-yard your next build? The Hunt is more fun then the Kill?…

A.D., I mean to ask for a pic of the back of the backpacker when it is closed up. That way it will show how you closed it for using. Thanks much, -Glenn
As much as I like pulling people's legs, I got it A.D.. (grins) UJ was mistaken. Just means your visual effect worked. Be reading, and listening to you too. "I got my eyes on you." - John Lee Hooker
Watcha doin' in Texas?
Thank you for your comments
Andries, I do appreciate the kind and encouraging words. As you know so well, making music is such a rich and rewarding adventure. It’s more accessible than many realize; so I keep at it. It’s truly a delight making music with others. Your versatile playing inspires me to work on doing more than just strumming with my playing.
Andries, The potential is probably there. Not sure I’m ready for full scale production, but I do like having kits on hand. They allow me to put an easy to play CBG in someone’s hand quickly. I’m happy to be a small time operator.
Greetings A.D. sorry I missed your question about the ceramic banjo on an old blog post of mine. I did not build it, it was hanging in a pottery gallery in Weaverville, NC. Its builder is a skilled potter as well as a terrific musician. It sounded much better than I expected. Wish I had the skills to build it!
Thanks A.D.! I always appreciate you checking out what the Slingers are up to.
Thank You for sharing. I like the sound of Voice recording in your video very much! All other components are very good also. But Voice is something :o)
Very kind of you A.D., many thanks! And enjoy that beautiful Nederlands Christmas!! -Glenn
Thanks for message, recovered fully from Covid…felt it for a day or two
