Order 99 upon further review the tin does indeed dampen when it rests against the torso or whatever. The body is so small I realized it's the neck that actually sits against mid section.
Order 99 no problems with this particular design. But I do have those issues on boxes unless I do something about it. These are Daniel Hulbert's plans , Dan is the man when it comes to ukuleles.

Very nice! Any problem with dampening when touching the back? I had to add deflectors or a back box to stop that on mine...

I should have put in a pick up.
Mine has surprisingly good tone but very little volume.
