FREE CD DOWNLOAD!!!!!!!!!...again. That's right! In the spirit of the season, I'm releasing to the world a collection compiled from the first four LINGUA INCOGNITA cds,
re-mastered for maximum sonic impact. It will only be available for about a week, so hurry up and get yours NOW. Come hear what led to CRACKLEBONE! Leonard Cohen meets King Crimson on the way to a Genesis concert...well, you get the idea. Here's the link: http://cracklebone.bandcamp.com/album/a-minutiae-of-thoughts-and-ot...
http://cracklebone.bandcamp.com/album/the-sacred-and-the-profane...Hey, I know it seems like a bit of cheap self promotion (it's FREE...how much cheaper can you get? LOL!), but you and Olds Sleeper offered yours up as free downloads, so I thought that I would give back and spread the love! :-)
Thanks for the story! I "discovered" CBGs through unemployment and You Tube in 2009. I had a cigarbox.....minimal wood working skills.....and the frustration of a "rank"amateur guitar player,34 years worth! WOW that number dosn't seem right, but since I had to do the math on paper it must be!! HA! I have a great love for music and no natural talent! God's joke on me? CBGs have helped open up some things for me. Played the first time solo last year at a art show in front of 50+ people....I did not think there would be that many,a little "rehearsed improv" before going in to my one song ,Baby Please Don't Go,....Nervous as hell ,but it went well. Yeah, totally addicted to the sound!! Best Wishes
Hey pAt and melaniejane (Purgatory Hill), Thanks for the great comments. I just kinda thought back to when [we all] were kids and a stick became a sword, a baton, a golf club, a rifle (Dan'l Boone) and an empty cardboard box was a house, a fort, a submarine... just anything. That's kinda where I got that from.
When I moved to Greenville we went to a local arts fest downtown. There is a long sloped hill and someone had cut up a bunch of cardboard. The kids, and even parents, were sliding down this hill -- right in the middle of the fest. That stuff just doesn't happen anymore you know. That's America.
Cheers and I know its a bitch traveling but if you ever get to the South East, look into hitting some spots like the Orange Peel in Asheville, Tremont Music Hall in Charlotte, The Handlebar here in Greenville (all online). I'd love to see you guys as well as April Mae et al.
Thanks Purgatory hill the steampunk CBG sounds better than she looks. She has a 5 way switch in her but only two pickups so in the last position it's a kill switch. I think I am going to put her up for sale I need some space for new builds.
