Newbie here. This is my first conversion. Not sure where my problem lies. Also just learning to solder, so you have to suspect every connection with me. I've got a working 1959 Silvertone 9014 Twin Speaker like this one (not my video):

I'm converting a Bush radio, and getting a very weak signal when taping a guitar to the volume lines...although when I've used the headphone out from an MP3 player, the signal is good and strong
This makes me think I need to wire a little preamp in
Found a 1960 Motorola AM radio, but the electronics were completely shot. Ended up putting a 2 watt amp based on the 2073D chip inside. Managed to get the original knobs on the knurled controls. Also converted a 2000 Spectra 5" TV into an amp. This o
I went to an estate sale yesterday and came back with this in hopes of making a amp out of it, I know a battery powered model is a better starter project but this thing sounds awesome! Now I have no idea what I'm doing with this stuff and have a few

Don't know if this is the right place for this, but I was wondering if it's possible to build your own amp from a computer sound card. I'm basically electronics and computer illiterate, but I got some old computer sound cards for nothing and wondered
My first amp ,(1963) was an old floormodel radio about 5 feet high, my dad put a jack in it for my guitar. He wired a switch inline with the jack so the radio still worked on all bands, I haven't thought of it in years until I saw your video. Th
So I picked this up and found that it has a phono jack in the back. So I plugged my piezo CBG into it, and it works like a charm. Plenty loud, kind of like a practice amp. The bottom part is an external speaker, I need to see if it works yet...
