Hi all.
I'd like to build a 4 x 6" or 4 x 8" cabinet to drive with a Noisy Cricket amp. I have both types of speakers all matched up and ready for wiring and boxing.
I'm going to maintain the 8 Ohm rating so my choices of wiring are...
Parallel/Series or Series/Parallel.
Does anyone know which might be preferable and why? Are there technical or aesthetic reasons for one and or the other?
Excited to hear the feedback! Some pun intended.....

It seems to me that there are two different ways to wire up 4x 8 Ohm speakers and get an 8 Ohm overall impedance.
Parallel/series and series/parallel. They both result in the same impedance but I was wondering what the difference was in terms of one type of wiring and the other. Is there an audio upshot or is it only a matter of what happens if you lose one speaker in the group (ie you still have 1 or 2 functioning speakers). Does the type of wiring effect the tone, power etc?
This place describes the difference in the wiring...

even if its not the correct ohm "setup," that interference that you get from the speaker can be used to get a unique recording!

..the last two blocks of illustrations show the two different types of wiring.
