Saw an ad in the local paper the other night, a short trip & £20 later i have a Grundig yacht boy 209
In fine original condition. LW, MW, SW & FM It came from an old boy who bought it new in 1974 and it came complete with handbook, wiring schematics the lot.
And on the back of it is a sliding cover with a 5 pin Din socket for tape or phono input.
A couple of quid on a din plug & its sorted, best bit is i dont have to alter it or hack wire it and it runs fine as a radio or amp. To enable the Din socket you press LW & MW buttons together.
It is not that loud so the CBG could probably do with a small preamp but has a lovely tone.
Good result!
