HI Nation. I've got a Bush TR 82 that I would like to convert into an amp but would love to keep the radio function as well. Does anyone have a schematic or plan how I can cut off the radio signal with the jack in and then get it to work again when removed.
Any help would be appreciated. Bemuzic has hacked one of these by cutting random wires but it's not the road I want to go down. Thanks. The Tramp

Just checked, they're not valves!
other option is to wire a two way switch to separate the guitar input from radio input.
you could try taking the audio out from something like an mp3 player to the volume pot to see if you can hear the player ovet the radio sound. If you get sound there you need to wire it up at that position, but switched if you want to keep the radio function.
Thanks David, I'm going to go down the two way switch route so it looks tidy. Thanks for your help. I'll Post Photos and Video of the result. Cheers
Be very careful hacking valve/tube radios, high voltage is present.
