Adult Beginner - Day #33

Okay, it's been awhile since I uploaded Day #4. Here I am one month into playing my first tuned string instrument...my 3-string CBG! Sorry about the low volume and background noise. When I play late at night, I set my camera on a tripod. As soon as I come up with an idea I like, I record it so I don't forget it the next day. I'll play the idea about 3 times before I hit record...so these ideas are very raw (sloppy).

  • Sounding good and nice fingerstyle rhythm going. Making fast progress for 33 days!

  • Thanks guys. I'm having a ball playing.

  • Yep!, sit down and play whatever comes into your head is what it's all about, and "Raw and Sloppy" is the essence of these instruments !!!

  • Rev. Gary took the words right outta' my mouth. VERY nice!

  • Thanks guys! Always nice to hear words of encouragement.

  • Way cool picking, Snuffy!   Great way to capture stuff you like - - otherwise it tends to 'evaporate'!  Sounds GREAT!

  • Yup.   Pretty and highly playable guitar and pretty and relaxed sounding finger picking.    I do the same thing on recording something new - or I forget what it was.

  • Coming along nicely man! Hope to see you Fri in B.S. I can hear that you still have your drummer's sense of rhythm which will work nicely when you get into playing foot percussion. I think you're now getting comfortable enough with the git that you can start stomping out a beat with your bass drum foot to play along with..

  • But thats the way we like them! Rough and un polisched, later you can rerecord the audio and boost up the volume, or play by headphones! your picking sound pretty cool, nice rhythm going! You will blow us all away when you get your stomp boxes and your Pro logic and you know what going On !

  • More like old hands, LOL. Thanks Pick! I'm trying...
