still , there's something to be said for those old jap guitars and their vintage pickup sound that modern guitars cant seem to duplicate . combine that with its rareity , and recent boom in vintage jap guitars .. and you got a keeper ;-)

Later models were made in Korea."from what i hear the japan models were ;lower quality , and the later korean models were better , as in most cases with korean guits . ps . The Beach Boys' Carl Wilson, played an Emperador guitar at one time.

but yeah .. the korean stuff was always a step better .. in most cases still is today .
