Read more…I am tinkering with the idea of using a truss rod in the future but am not sure of the indications when to use one. Based on the research I have done, it looks to be when using 4-6+ strings and no thru n thru neck. Thanks for the info.

Hi there Lonman ! on your qustion on the Tailpiece ,thats a Heineken beer flipper! that i bend, its made out of groomed pressed steal, and lets be adjusteble whit out scratching it to much, bending and drilling holes realy, i used it because that way i had a hollow space to go over the boxlock that i did not want to damage, hope it comes out better in this picture ! thanks for asking ! Hello Lonman, since you do well to use no chipwood. Plywood boards (I do not know the word for it) are much more stable and lighter. They are available in our birch beech poplar and maple. I had chosen birch. Yours Schorsch

I saw your question about techniques for photos. I've had good luck with water slide paper. This essentially lets you make a decal. You find your image, maybe edit the photo, then print onto the water slide paper. It comes in both laser and ink jet varieties. You then spray it with clear acrylic. When it's dry, soak the paper in water briefly, then slide the picture off the backing onto the box.
I made a uke this way.
