Read more…I am tinkering with the idea of using a truss rod in the future but am not sure of the indications when to use one. Based on the research I have done, it looks to be when using 4-6+ strings and no thru n thru neck.

Building is new to me and ive only been able to guestimate some sizes people like for a nice sound.
Ive had some access to about 6"x2"x8 to 9" box.
But it looked like people were using big like 8x12...
So,
Anyone have suggestions on what i can use for "string trees" on a three string fretless CBG? I've been using 1 nail per string to hold it down and guide it over the machine screw i use as a nut.
