strings

all new to me the 3 string cbg,  mine came with ,  18 / 24/ 32 / gauge strings , any advice  please on string gauges  , most welcome

    that is a good combo...tune them A D a...you blaze like a gunslinger!

    Sounds like a good start. probably tune open g... if you want darker, scratchy slide sound go with heavy acoustic set...54,42,etc. if you want something brite and tenorish go withsomething 22, 15,9 ish. really up to you

      thanks sam , i have mine tuned  D A D at the moment , tuned half a step down , i would like a sort of darker , dirtier sound , i am having another cgb built  so i can have then set up in different tunings , thanks

      You're on the right track. As you tunie up, the tone will get "brighter".
