Pre Amp + Flatpup

If you cut off the rod piezo from a pre amp like Gitty sells and attached a flatpup, would it work the same as having a volume and tone pot ?

Wiring for Stomp Box?

I have a question that I can't seem to find an answer to.

I want to build a stomp box with peizo for some self-percussion but I want to have it in line with my CBG into the amp.

Does anyone know how to wire something like that?
