Building my first cbg, and trying to avoid asking too many questions here and just figure it out myself, but wondering how to wire up 2 piezo and a volume pot. I have seen mention wiring them in a series, or dual, don't really get the details of this
I took some wood scraps ,a 1/4 inch jack,
And two alligator clips to test my pickups.
Added some no slip material to the bottom.
I just hold the pickup over a guitar to get a rough idea of sound
I am new to CBG but am fascinated by the possibilities. This website and the CBGitty website are fantastic resources. I will be using pickups of some type and configuration on every CBG I build. The circuit diagrams by Ted Crocker are extremely he
I'm looking to build a CBG using Gitty's EQ-7545R EQ/preamp. I want to add a bypass switch to send the piezo signal straight to the jack in case the battery goes dead or the preamp craps out in the middle of a gig or jam. I'm thinking a simple SPDT s
I need to get a 15mm long shaft 1/4" jack. I have found an old cigar box with the box end about a half inch. I don't want to drill a relief hole into the box. Just wondering if anyone knows a place to get a jack with about a 15mm shaft.
I need some serious help! My pickup experience is very limited. I usually use piezos, pots, jacks and volume knobs. A guy brought me double Humbuckers out of a 1974 Gibson Les Paul Gold Top that was his fathers. He wants them in a CBG. N
I have noticed several sellers with piezo disc pickups encased in wood. They claim it reduces feedback. I've also seen where some claim gluing the disc on with silicone adhesive serves the same purpose. Anyone compared the these pickups and found
Can anyone help? I have had given some electrical guitar odds and sods and amongst them are a couple of what I think are acoustic end pin jacks, one gold one chrome but otherwise they are identical. I would like to fit one to a single pickup on one b
OK lets start with a bold statement - I know nothing!

One for the "Stupid Mistakes" list... I just took my new stick out of the clamps after the glue dried, and when I picked it up it rattled like a baby rattle. I had installed peizo pickups before gluing the soundboards down, and the wiring harness was
I bought an old AMP (240 V -A/C---- Australia.). I measured the output from the transformer and this was 15 V. THe old speaker is 8 inch and 8 ohm. I want to put it in a new smaller box . (with better acoustics) with a 4 inch or smaller speaker. I ha
Hi, l'm rebuilding a 3 string that had a piezo dIsc installed. I want to install either a piezo rod or a wound pickup. Has anyone used the cb gitty bridge with the pre-installed piezo rod?
I have had no experience in soldering. Can members share their tips and secrets on how to get a good job, particulally in joing very fine wire . An example are the wires on C.B Gitty Piezo. How do yoy hold them. They are nearly imposable to twist tog
Tried using one of those Chinese undersadde piezo pickups. The metal box that fits in the bridge slot is a bit large. In messing with it. the wire seperated from the metal peice. Don't want to cut bridge slot any deeper. Will the bare wire work? s
