So I've made a few of this tin can banjo things. Having a blast playing on them. I've made a couple out of empty tin "soup" cans and one out of a beer can. I cut a few other cans to prepare them to go on a neck but my question is this: have you guys

ok,i've read somewhere on cbn about fitting a mag pup inside the lid on the tin,my question is-does it need to be under the strings or is anywhere as effective, the bracing i fitted won't let me place the pup near the strings.

Are there any major disadvantages to attaching the can vertically to the stick? My idea is a neck through the can type design using a banjo style bridge and the bottom of the can as the sound board.

Morning folks,have any of you good people tried fitting a ressonator cone to a cookie tin. I was thinking most dobros are metal so why shouldn't it work, I would welcome yout thoughts on the subject.Mal (UK)
