Here's my attempt to put together a basic Texas-style blues shuffle. It's inspired by Stevie Ray Vaughan's "Pride and Joy", but isn't intended to be a note for note transcription on 3 string.

  • A very useful and informative tutorial CBJ.  Slick playing and heavy growly blues sound!  Going to give that a go.

  • really enjoyed this. Thanks CBJ.

  • Loving that sound.  Super well done.

I kind of think I should attempt  to learn that but I keep on mostly doing my same old shite.  But I like my same old shite.  I am a story song guy and a harp player.  But it would be cool and impressive as heck to do what you just did.

  • The strings are 046, 030, 022, my usual balanced tension set. Roland StreetCube amp, "lead" setting, a bit of reverb, no pedal effects.

  • real nice buzz in that 3 John! what u use for a screemer?  46-38-22 strings !thats pretty thick! as your playing ! Thanks man ! GDG  ay! riffing  hammer on !

  • Wonderful tutorial Chickenbone. Thank you.
