@rouxdy ,er bit odd really ,until you mentioned it i hadn't notice it was slightly arched, the middle sit about 1 mm high, but it has a cushion pad between it and the guit. I bought this thinking that it was a powered pre-amp as the advert showed a 9 v battery. this was supplied with the unit although there is nowhere to fit it , also a flexi piezo was included but i haven't used it. i wired it to the mag pup, vol works fine but the tone doesn't appear to work , but i don't mind it was only a couple of quid. i have since bought a powered pre-amp that i will fit in a box and use as a separate add on ,this i've tested with these piezo rods and they sound great.thanks for looking in .
