Great work! Looks stunning! Superb choice of timber, great design and I love the flame detail. 10 out of 10!
Im no expert and I dont know what pickup you used, but Im guessing its a piezo under the bridge? If so, theres loads of talk over at the forum about reducing that tinny-ness - Iv had some success following the advice of encasing the piezo and mounting it in different places. Sorry ifyou know all this already, but it might help ;o)
Brian, with all the beautiful wood down there in Australia I would think everyone would want to be a woodturner or woodworker of some kind. I get a lot of hits on my websites from Australia and New Zealand. Do you have a website with your turnings?
AL, The sound is OK to my untrained ear. I've got to re-work the pick-up in it. It's a little tinny sounding.
Thanks fellas. Yes, Steve, that's spalted sycamore on the top and walnut for the bowl. Hard to believe that the bacteria drew all those pretty lines in there.
