I got this at a rummage sale for 3$. I replaced the cardboard with Cedar and White Pine. I added a spine under the fretboard to straighten the fretboard. It worked! I added the pickin pocket too.

I saw several cardboard dulcimers at Dulcimer day in Duluth where I was set up as a vender this year. The promoter used them as rentals for participants that didn't have one. Mine must have come from this same event years ago.
Thanks James, Jim, Uncle. I didn't have the right strings today, so no plunking. But tomorrow for sure. Strawberries are ripe! Yummy! I played a little with the old strings but they are the wrong sizes.
