Bought this off the city Craigslist (DC). Looks familiar, but I can’t place the builder. No maker’s Mark on the outside and the box is glued shut. Built as a slider with high action the strings have never touched the frets. Judging by the strings I’d say approximately 5 years old. Ok Nation, who built this..??

Well it took a little digging. Turns out this was built by Eric S at Tobacco Road Guitars. Looks like he sold them on Etsy years ago. This one is going to be a gift for a coworkers grandson.
After I deepened the string slots in the nut, I had to reseat 2 frets prior to leveling the frets. I had to use a bamboo skewer as a temp saddle. She is a strummer now with low action.,., sound test next
Looks good. That head stock looks familiar except for the cut out hole to hang it by. Good guy, builder player named Eric used to be on here. Seems he did headstocks similar to that. He was the guy that made good guitars out of metal Sawzall cases.

That is right, Brian. He may not have built this guitar, but we are thinking of the same good guy.
I think he goes by Badfinger?
