So after about 50+ hours of the most intense planning, cutting, routing, sanding, staining, etc. she's finally finished! The down low...one-piece Sapele mahogany body with body contour, two-piece private stock cloud figured maple top (body stained then multiple coats of wipe-on poly...then sanded to 1500 grit and then polished), figured maple neck (sanded to 1500 grit and finished with multiple coats of tung oil), rosewood fingerboard w/ pearl dot inlays (finished with lemon oil), 21 medium/medium nickel frets set at a 22.875" scale, dual action truss rod, ukulele nut, sealed tuners, chrome hardtail bridge, three-way toggle w/ volume & tone control, and locking strap pins. The pickups are my own hand wound, bar magnets from Dan Sleep of Humidor Guitars. Tops are zebra wood.A new addition to the neck mount is a neck tilt system I made with a tee nut and allen set screw in the body, and the neck heel has a Canadian Bluenose dime set as a pressure plate...for the set screw adjustment limiter.Strings are GHS Boomer Plain Steel gauges .036w, .026w, .017p, .013p and tuned DGBe.
