Mahogany with walnut ears. A friend gave me a chunk of Corian that I used for the nut. It cuts and sands nicely and doesn't smell like bone.

    Thanks Gary. And thanks for the info. The 5x7" piece  I was given should make several nuts and bridge caps.

    SOMETIMES (not always) you can discontinued samples of Corian from the big box home improvement stores.  One sample is usually enough for several builds....)   

    This build looks really clean, Jim!  Nice!
