This was a cello I turned into an acoustic bass. It can also be played upright, but I like it this way. Those are flatwound bass guitar strings. I replaced the cello tuning pegs with upright bass tuning machines and I added guitar strap buttons. Everything else is pretty much as it came to me on the cello.
