howdy, sorry it took me so long to answer yer question about the area 51 resonator,where the piezo is located at the headstock....its a very weird thing to describe but i will try. so first i must say its on a slide build with no frets,and you can pluck the strings and get sound thats kinda a far away sound,but the minute you touch the slide to the strings its like a booster switch and the volume is activated---but if you remove the slide from the strings its like the volume is gone but you stil get a sound that is far away. so for playing slide in a average way its not practical because of the loss and gain of the volume but i would say for a special type sound where you would not have to remove the slide at all from the strings,it would make an interesting recording. thanks for your question.
