The Rocky Mountain slides are ceramic, and nice looking -- you get a choice of four colors, I think. Shane has also said you can go to Lowe's and get a steel spacer, which works just as well as anything, for less than $2. Of course, I wanted my slide to match my guitar. That's the kind of thing you can only say in the Women's Group!
I have the same problem with slides. I found one that fit my scrawny finger (finally) on Musician's Friend. They make smaller slides for women -- they're called Rocky Mountain slides. I understand that Mojo Bone Works can also solve this problem.

For Christmas My husband is getting me one of the 7 Old Faithful replicas Shane built. Very excited but no idea where to even start. Want to play the blues but also want to play and sing shanties. From Aberdeen, MS. Home of Bukka White.
Welcome aboard, Louise! You will find lots of helpful folks and information here on all things CBG (CBB, CBU, etc.) Feel free to poke around, ask questions, and post your stuff (photos, recordings, videos, etc.).
