With a paint can lid reso, you can still build it as a neck thru.... so, neck attachment is easy. If you build a true reso, you have to do a set neck or some form of bolt on.... pretty advanced.
As far as a paint lid reso, then only thing you might want to think about it using a slightly thicker board for the neck, because you have to relief it slightly more under the neck. You'll need some kind of tail piece that gives you a straight shot for the strings to break over the bridge. The bridge probably needs to be hand crafted in such a way that it's tall enough to offset the slight "dip" in the paint can lid and allows the placedment of the piezo within if.
