A lift/somewhere to crash at Boxstock.

I know this is a little early, but are there any members who live in Sheffield or nearby who plan to go to boxstock, and I could get a lift with?  I can't drive, so I either need to get the trains, which means I'll need somewhere to crash overnight, or a lift there and back.

I'm pretty skint, but could help out with petrol or food, to anyone who could help me out!

Thought I'd start planning early for a change, cheers all.

  • yep got my membership pack yesterday very cool and a great job by all involved thanks very much

    juju :)

  • Yeah me too Roosterman
  • Yup, not rushing into anything at this point - I'm more than happy to wait and see what transpires. Not sure anyone would put up with my snoring though.

BTW. Just got my membership pack - and blinkin' good value it is already.

  • Yep, I'll hold on for the cheap prices, cheers Roosterman!
  • If you can cope with sharing a room it works out a boatlaod cheaper as the prices quoted are ROOM rates, not per person. Share with 3 mates and your accomodation will only cost you £12 a night!

I would urge folk just to hold back a wee while though until CBJ has approached them for a bulk booking - it might save evryone a few quid :o)

  • Any discount on the hotel would be great. At the moment the Premier Inns website is telling me it will be £45 for the Friday night and £53 for the Saturday night. Still, plenty of time to start saving the pennies.

Not sure at the moment whether I'd book for the Friday or the Saturday if I could only stay one night.
  • That sounds great CBJ cause me n Jan are planning to book a room at the premier Inn for the Saturday night,so if you can get us even a little discount CBJ I would be really grateful.

And also i`ll have 2 seats going if anyone needs a lift I`ll be setting off Saturday morning and setting off home Sunday round 10am-ish. well thats the plan unless anything changes from now till the fest which i can see happening.

  • 10 minute walk away, absolute max, even loaded down with guitars and beer. Even if we can't do the combo discount ticket/room deal, I will be trying to get a block booking discount for HGMC members, as we'll be booking in the performers and regular attendees there.
  • That sounds pretty good, is it near the venue?
  • Get saving DC!! You wont want to miss ANY of the weekends activities, and the Premier Inn worked out at about £15 a night or something last year.... :o)
