Jim ribbon mic will pickup every sound in the room
And outside of it too.so you need a quiet space to use one.
I got a cheap SE r1 nearly new
If you drop them the don't like it.
Plus check if it takes 48v or not
Art vlave preamps work a treat too
With them . Got mine of the bay second hand
Oh yeah! That's what I'm talkin' 'bout! Yup, I could hear the diff. I believe I need a ribbon mike. This one sounds fine but the ribbon had a way smoother sound.
