Finally one for myself. Ive been building now since just before Christmas(2016) and gave all the ones I built to friends for gifts. So I finally got around to building one for myself.Loving it.

  • You're a natural born builder and player I'm thinking. Came out great on the build front and, like someone already said, you've got some fortunate friends! Great, great job.

    Thanks for the compliments!!!

The fret board is Oak. The neck is 2 oak pieces with a piece of poplar laminated between. This is the first oak fret board I've used. I will contiue with that on builds from here on out. Holds the frets much firmer. The others were poplar. I also used maple on a couple of the necks on the earlier builds.

I also tried a truss rod (1/8" x 1/2 solid aluminum bar) on the guitar that I used the Olivia Box for. I wont do that again too much extra work. This neck seams to be pleanty sturdy with the 3 pieces laminated. And it looks better too.

  • yup

  • Yup, this sounds like a keeper. You've got fortunate friends!
