  • Thanks, Bones.   Your silk purse and sow's ear analogy is not far off.  I do have a start on a paint can lid resonator.  Maybe I will get a player banjo yet.

  • That sounds great UJ nothing like a good rebuild to make a silk purse from a sows ear .....

  • Cool, Poopshoe.  I love the last line of the recipe.   Will message you.

  • POOPshoe, I have missed you.  Great to hear from you.  Catching any fish?

Alan, that is my under  $5  shirt for our fourth of July holiday.  Nearly perfect weather up hear lately.  Hope you had a good trip, and thanks.

  • Great sound from $5 Pup UJ, and nice to see all you guys up North finally wearing some lighter clothing :-D

  • Thanks, Derek.  It is a functional player now and I like it.

Thanks, Andries.  Yup, sir.  These home made instruments know what they want to be and we have to figure it out.

Thanks, Wes.  Electric slide is about my fave to play.

  • It rings out all your tunes in a jippy Now UJ! and the cigar bands on the neck fit it just Fine, maybee the banjo thought the fitted the CBG better ! greeeeetsszzz A.D.

  • Sounds like a functional player now, Unc.

  • Thanks, E.  That fret board was a yard stick and has some cigar bands.  You never heard it as a banjo because I could not make it sound right as one.  I will try again this spring or summer for a banjo.

  • Ha, Nancy!

Thanks, Rich.  That is all true on the poor identity confused git fiddle.  And I need to build a banjer that works better.
