I recently got the G2 glass cutter and put together this box to hold slides. G2 so much easier than using the Dremel I was using. I like to give the slides when I give or sell a guitar.

Yes, I have found that there is such a thing as too hot and too cold when going back and forth. What worked best for me to use a candle to heat the score and cold water back and forth. Less longitudinal cracks and chips this way, but takes more time.
There are some nice ladies on YouTube that cut bottles with thread and nail polish remover.,.,they make it look so easy.,.,I usually score the bottle with the glass cutter then dip the bottle neck in ice water, then hot water.,.,they pop right off.., those do look very nice.,.,

I’ve been trying to make bottle neck slides. So far I just ha.ve broken bottles.
