Weathered top

I’ve sanded and varnished three times to wear down any shap pokies. It feels old and friendly. This thick wood body has some volume. But I’ll add a surface mount hum Bucker soon. Poplar bridge. Fender Super Bullets Strings. 16, 23, 34 gauges. Oak sides, White Pine back.

  •  It's strange how some of these builds defy all the theory of thin tops making for loud and thick tops being quiet. I quit going for just the thin top boxes since even a couple of my MDF builds are giving off surprising amounts of sound. (Of course I added a pickup to those for when I want it louder...)
