Instead of a strainer, this time I shaped a Mahogany tail. It roughly fits the contour of my weathered top. My string ground will lay under the strings where they bend to the top.

Ya Brian. It takes a lot of years in the seasons rain and Sun to weather like this. I have admired some of the builders that use weathered planks to build with. Also like the patina making relicing techniques some CBGers use. I like old stuff.
