  • Hi A.D., well what you're seeing is part of the body that was left over after cutting everything out that was not needed or would not fit into the box w. the preamp, etc.. So actually though you cannot see it there is a bit of space in that specific black part which I will fill up just to re-enforce the neck a bit more. My main concern was the scale as well as a solid neck slot, so when doing it as I did none of that had to be a worry nor changed at all. -Glenn

  • Looks pretty clean Glenn ! just dont get the black between the neck and the pickup?

  • For the story and a side-view (now my Wordpress site header) if of interest: https://gkaiser.wordpress.com/  -Glenn

  • And my sense of cheating is using a full six rather than 1 or 3 strings which are my standard go-to for cbgs John. -Glenn

  • Thanks Unc, yes, well the rhyme would best go Them many weird cuts were drivin' me nuts, but-but-but it seems to work! Doin' it this way does seem to pay though with quirks -it has it's perks! -Glenn

  • Not cheating.  About the only way most of us can build a good playing six.

  • Thx BrianQ, agreed. The Pacifica is a truly solid fake Strat, was gifted me years ago when a friend moved. So I have the humbuckers and 2 single coils (made 3 cbgs) of 'em. But that S.D. pup is cool and pretty low noise as well. Gotta work on the intonation and shore up a few spots w. glue and clamps but working nicely. -Glenn

  • Kool, those Yamaha’s aren’t half bad either!
