It's a huge combo. I read don't do it and I have to do it. Danish oil x 2 coats. Waxed shellac x 3 and a ton of poly with sanding in between them all. I like the colour.

  • Shiny !  It is a lovely colour and a great finish, a real reward for your efforts.  I must admit I just tend to stick to poly, diluted by the addition of about 10% white spirit to keep it smooth.

  • I hack sawed the original attachment to fix, it's mounted inside. Just found a screwdriver the right size to thread for the tremolo bar hole and the perfect Alan key, so I'm making an onboard adjustment tool for that spot :) I'll bust a few bits but those are a dime a dozen.
