Based on the Mackie strumstick videos. Acacia stick, mahogany back, spruce front and walnut fretboard. Tuned GDg and is surprisingly loud. As may be expected it does not have the full sound that a bigger box would give.Fun to build though.

Nice stick, Jock! And yes - they are lots of fun to build! I'm working on my #3 now which utilizes a little larger box (drilled at 12" and splayed open at 5.25" - you'll know what those numbers mean!). My first used 1 1/2" wide neck because I was stoked to try the splaying method after seeing the videos - - so it also used traditional tuners. My second was truer to the video, and used classical-style tuners as yours. I DID add a piezo disk pickup though! My third will be larger as noted, probably fully fretted (many songs I can play use the 3rd fret!), and also have a piezo disk.

Again - great looking build!
It is a beauty.
