I wanted some "primitive" looking sound holes for this one but now I think f holes would've looked much nicer. I used cherry for the tailpiece.

Thanks Monterey! I was trying for that old look that I've seen in pictures of one's made 100+ years ago. But then I cheated and put fine tuners on so I could keep her in tune!
You sure make some good looking fiddles. I'm thinking your soundholes go good on this one too- with the tailpiece it really gives her a real antique Appalachian look

Yup, I argue with myself about this kind of stuff all the time!
The f-holes look nice. Sometimes I think we all make design decisions that we regret or wish we had modified in some way, through.
