    Actually, Pick, that is the bottom of the lid flipped over for more color.   Duck!?!?   Who you callin' low tech?!

    Good looking piece Uncle John. Nothing like a bit of low tech engineering to make a CBG look right. Great box too. The ten cent label on the lid offers clues to it's vintage.

    Thanks, Rob.  I may do that.  With hinge tail pieces, I have used both one and two.

    I've done a few like this, and yep they're quick, easy and look cool. I'd humbly suggest putting more than one screw in the base, as it would really improve tuning stability. Nice job though!
