    Got it J.P.   Thanks!   Made another one today.  I figure I have to keep making cbgs until this piece and another of similar size are gone.

    That's genius.  You use the metal as a tailpiece for a CBG and then use the Duck tape to cover the hole you just cut in the garage door.  Great lateral thinking Uncle John :-)
