The guitar is fitted with a regular maple biscuit bridge and National-type cone, so you get a reasonable amount of acoustic sound (certainly enough for practising), and plugged in you do get some of that reso vibe thru' the amp. I want to try putting in a piezo under the cone, but I really need an onboard pre-amp to balance the output with the magnetic pickup, which will be a fairly expensive exercise, using something like the Fishman Powerchip..but that may have to wait, as I've got plenty of other projects underway at present.
Just a neck pickup on this..one of these days I'm going to get round to building a ResoCaster with a piezo and a balancing pre-amp as well as the magnetic pickup.
