I used edge banding tape for the sides that is applied with an iron. I overlapped the seems on the inside. The top and bottom fit together like a hat box.

Very cool Rick! I do like playing all of mine, but so far they've been solid bodies! (Now you may be motivating me!) I do have a buddy in Indiana with a stock of walnut veneer; I may have to reach out to him.....
Hey Rev, the tape is about the same thickness as the cardboard a matchbook is made from. I have it doubled up, and it's still fairly flexable. I could beef it up by applying more layers to either side.
This one was mainly inspired by your's, by the way!
Thanks Bluesheart and Uncle John! The way I did the sides came to me after a failed attempt to bend a piece of 1/4" pine. This tape comes in a 25' roll for about $5.
