Laminated 3 pieces of 3/4 spruce plywood together, and hand carved the shape out.

    Having built 6 “traditional” ukuleles, may I offer some constructive criticism? There is a lot of mass in this body. Are you carving an archtop? If you are planning on nylon strings, I would be sure to build the top as light as possible, otherwise the tone and volume will tend to be “dead”. Ukuleles need to be extra light to vibrate enough to project acoustically. You may want to consider steel strings and a mag pickup. Just a suggestion. Good luck with your build.
