Been in CA this week helping out with the folks. Dad's 95 and Mom's still playing music at 94! She mainly plays piano but loves to strum ukes.

Thanks Unc. Yeah I thought you'd like that story too. I'm working on a vid but I'm at an unfamiliar computer and I'm kinda slow when I'm out of my regular way of doing things.
LOL, love the No Fun-damental Baptist church thing and the being careful not to lift your leg off the ground while playing thing. Good for your mom's sense of humor.
Pastors, they pretty much make the church. They make it good, bad or mediocre. Kind of pushes me into worshiping mostly through Gospel and prayer and not so much in church.
Hey J. Robinson you'll get a kick out of this story. She played piano in Church all the time until they got a new pastor at The Fundamental Baptist Church. He didn't like the way she jazzed up the hymns so she quit and now calls it " The No Fun - damental Baptist"!
The gov't. is looking for ways to keep us alert and active as we age, and they want to teach the young 'uns the discipline and mathematical awareness that they need for STEM studies, so they rip music out of the schools' curriculum!
Good on her no matter how old she is. My mom is nearing 88 and can not play piano anymore, but maybe she could sing along with your momma. My request would be for 'You Are My Sunshine'.
