  • Always fresh and mild!!

Looks great!!!! Love the fork tail piece

  • That's funny.   I had been trying to remember what NRA stood for during the depression.   We've been watching old Walton's reruns lately and I've seen NRA signs several times.  Thanks!

It's a matter of taste, but I like the 4 middle strings tuned GDGB.    You can mostly play it like a GDG, but the B treble really adds some fullness and some high notes when you want then.

I have a Pacemaker box with a horse head on it.   Yellow.  5 cent cigars.  Similar era.  Just playing it today.  Flatpup fretless GDg.

  • Thanx  Uncle John, hort damn but it's fun working with old stuff. Notice the "NRA", National Recovery Act, stamp in the upper right hand of the box, that makes this box to be from the early 1930's. After stringing it up, I think I need to go to heavier strings. I used the top four off a set of D'Addario instead of the middle four.

  • I recognize this from the archives of blues greats and nearly greats.    This is the guitar that Goat Bronson played on Yazoo Sweet Thing in 1930 and some other good songs too.   Wow.  In such fine shape.  Blues history.

Thumper, you did this one proud.
