Going through some old boxes of spares I found this Bigsby, just the thing for the Gretsch cigar box. Just about at the mocking up stage....but the design always changes in the end!!

yeah you could put the knobs on the top front section of the box like i did on my last 3/4 string reso build it keeps them out of the way and the three way switch could go just above the neck pickup - this also keeps all the wiring together and looks a lot neater - just a idea :)
I've still got to make the pick-guard, which will rule out me having them where they are...I think I like your idea of having them top side....and I've still got to find room for the 3-way switch!!! ummmm still a bit of working out involved in this one!!
Like the famous quote from JAWS "we're going to need a bigger boat" or box in this case!!
This is gonna be gorgeous when your done, but i do have to agree with Witchita Sam about the knobs. Maybe you can put them on the top side above the neck pickup. This is why I've settled on making my own bigger boxes, so the top doesn't get all cluttered. Just my humble opinion, I really like this guitar though, great job man.
Thanks for all the great comments guys, just need one big push to get it finished. Will post a video up of the end result.......but as with all my builds still plenty of time for things to go tits up!!! fingers crossed.

That's beautiful. Like a nice old motorcycle. Your binding on the f holes looks great.
the tone/volume would be right in my "strum zone"..... but clearly beautiful....
Manomanachevitz!!! That is gorgeous...!!
AMAZING!!!! I can't wait to hear it in action. WOW great job on the detail.
